We have dinner in this beautiful place, an incredibly friendly staff, and an excellent and delicious meal. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the attention is perfect, the food is divine, and you can order a candle at your dessert if you are on your birthday. I'll repeat.

Overrated place. Kids menu is industrial food with no sauce. Main dishes are quite average and poor atmosphere if you sit outside. Not recommended, better options near by

Very friendly service (also in English and German), tasty food and nice location. The paella was topped with a variety of seafood and I can also recommend the local beef Carpaccio.

We visited De Taveerne yesterday and it was one of the best Restaurant decisions here on Texel. Great Service, delicious food and an cozy ambience.

At first, we didn't get a great impression: we had booked a table and they took us to a table upstairs, which was super close to the toilets and with a view on a concrete building. I believe that, if a customer makes the effort of booking a table, the least a restaurant can do is to reserve a nice table, and not the table that no one wants, which could be given if the restaurant is full and that it's the last option. I didn't appreciate it and asked for another table - it turns out, 2 tables were still free downstairs, so that really didn't set the mood (why did they take us there if two other nice tables were free? No idea but I really didn't like that.) Food was good though, which is why in the end we had a good time
